Administration

Donald Capoldo

Don has served as our Executive Director since 2005. He has 17 years of Healthcare Administration experience and holds a Masters of Business Administration with a Masters specialization in Healthcare Administration from the University of Miami, Florida. Don holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a specialization in Creative Writing from The University of Connecticut, home of his beloved Huskies. He has served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, as a Medical Service Corps Officer. He has 5 children and loves coaching baseball in our local Little League. Don is a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, a member of Knights of Columbus and is an award winning writer of poetry, short stories and songs.

Tracy Coombs

Tracy has worked for The Plant Home for 20 years and currently serves as our Administrator. Tracy is a certified Tax Credit Compliance Specialist and a Certified Residential Medication Aide. She was hired in 1989 as a dietary aide and has since served as Dietary Director, Residential Care Coordinator and Assistant Administrator. Tracy enjoys quilting and reading (especially Stephen King and Maine history.)

 

Paul Gamache

Paul is a former board member and currently serves as the Finance Officer. Paul retired from Pratt and Whitney as the Financial Manager of their North Berwick, Maine plant. He is married to Claudette and they have 3 children and Sam the miniature poodle who serves as 3rd floor greeter for The Plant Home residents. Paul is the former Treasurer of The Chocolate Church in Bath, as well as providing financial work for six other not for profits in Maine. He enjoys boating, gardening and reading.

Kathleen Homan, RN, DON

Kathleen comes to the Plant Home with more than 28 years of diversified nursing experience from cardiac care at Maine Medical Center, surgical assisting at Southern Maine Oral Surgery, and long term care experience that includes direct skilled nursing,  MDS coordinating, staff education, and nursing administration. She is currently studying to sit for the American Nurses Association Gerontological Nursing Certification exam.  Kathleen lives in Bath with her husband, Brian and their two young sons Nicholas and Matthew. She is an active member of the Parents Association at St. John’s Catholic School, teaches faith formation at St. Mary’s church, and is a member of the All Saint’s Parish pastoral council.Kathleen also enjoys cooking, gardening, skiing, hiking, and camping with her family.

Robyn Lamson

Robyn is the Assistant to the Executive Director and serves as our Tax Credit Specialist and Admissions Officer. She began working with Realty Resources Management in 1991 and came to The Plant Home in 2008. She is a Tax Credit Compliance Specialist/Occupancy Specialist. Robyn has one daughter and is involved with animal rescue, representing the All American Dachshund Rescue.

Bob Sweeney

Bob has been with the Plant Home for two years as the Maintenance Director.  He has 25 years of building, remodeling, landscaping, roofing, and maintenance experience.  Bob lives in West Bath with his wife Annette and they have three older children:  Chris, Allison and Angela.  He enjoys the craftsmanship of antique tractors and equipment and is looking forward to restoring an old tractor soon.

Karl Schaumburg

Karl has been with The Plant Home for 1 year as the Dietary Department Head.  He has worked in multiple restaurants from Missouri to Maine ranging from fine dining to diners.  Totaling over 10 years experience.  Karl lives in Bath with his wife Mirinda and son Otto. He enjoys playing guitar, working with computers, and playing with his son.
