Daniel Daggett
Dan is the current Chairman of the Board and is entering his 3rd year of service on the Board at the Plant Home. Dan grew up in Bath, attended Morse High, and received is Associates Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Maine. For 15 years Dan was the CEO of Bowdoinham FCU, and currently works as President of Consolidated Solutions, the State’s largest Credit Union indirect lender. Over the years Dan has served on numerous non-profit boards including Habitat for Humanity, GrowSmart Maine, Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber, the Maine Insurance Trust, and Parkview Adventist Medical Center. Dan is married to Sue, whose father Bill Haney, served as a past Chairman at the Plant Home. Dan and Sue reside in Woolwich with their 3 children, where they all enjoy the best Maine has to offer, spending their time in its great outdoors.
Denis Hebert
Denis serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors and retired in 2007 as the Superintendent of Cemeteries and Parks for the City of Bath. He and his wife Judi have lived in Wiscasset for 26 years. They have two grown daughters and two grand children. He is a lifeguard at the Wiscasset Community Center and teaches for LL Bean’s Outdoor Discovery Schools. Denis enjoys camping and canoeing in northern Maine and teaching firearm safety.
Melanie Munsey
Mel serves as the current Treasurer of The Plant Home and has been on the Board of Directors for two years. She was born right here in Bath Maine and has lived in the Mid-coast area her whole life. She has served on other non-profit boards such as Habitat for Humanity. Melanie is the Vice President at Down East Insurance and has over 20 years experience in her field and holds her “Certified Insurance Consultant” designation. Melanie is married to Douglas Munsey and they have three grown children and one grand-daughter. She enjoys traveling and loves spending time with her family.
Janine Lipfert
Janine is the Assistant Vice President for Small Business Banking at Bath Savings Institution. She is married to Nathan R. Lipfert. She has been on the Board of Directors for 5 years and chairs the Nominating Committee. Janine has lived in the Bath area since 1963. She is a Corporator of the Patten Free Library and been on their Board of Trustees for 9 years. She volunteers at the Maine Maritime Museum, Relay for Life and the American Cancer walk. She loves to read, knit and garden. Janine has enjoyed hiking in England, visiting Spain and Canada and loves to travel and see her children in San Francisco and Southern Texas.
Mikelle Carr
Mikelle chairs the Development Committee for The Plant Home. She grew up as an “Army Brat” and lived around the world from Italy to Vietnam. She eventually settled in Massachusetts in 1988 with her husband, Ken, and their combined families. “Mike” gave up corporate banking for a career in telecommunications and established The Abacus Group, a telecom software company which she owned for nine years. Retirement brought the Carr’s to Maine in 2001 where Mike earned her Associate Broker’s real estate license. Mike and Ken adopted Yulia, who graduated from college last May. They have five children and six grandchildren. Mike writes The Plant Home Pennant, the Home’s newsletter. She also enjoys gardening and needlework.
Jacqueline (Jackie) Cunha
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Fitchburg State College in MA and was employed for 15 years as a Licensed Social Worker in the MA State Home Care System. During that time she served as a Case Manager, Intake Specialist, Group Adult Foster Care Worker, Family Care Case Manager and Hospital Liaison, coordinating services for the elderly and disabled in the community. Jackie and her family, which includes three boys ranging in age from 5-17, moved to Bath, Maine in 2002. She enjoys cooking, the company of good friends and spending time with her family.
Marla Davis, RN, MSN
Marla is the chairman of the Resident Services Committee. She was born and raised in Bath and is employed by Mid Coast Hospital as Director for Community Health Improvement. She is married to CR Davis and the mother of two and the “gammy” of three. Marla has served on the Plant Home Board since 2006. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and photography.
Douglas Munsey
Doug has lived in the Bath/Brunswick area since graduating from South Portland high school. He is a graduate apprentice from Bath Iron Works and has spent his whole career with the same company. He is married to Melanie Munsey and they have 3 beautiful daughters, two great sons-in-law and one grandchild so far. Doug is an avid biker and runner and also enjoys kayaking.
Tim Rioux
Tim is a Morse High graduate from the class of 1968 and holds a Bachelors of Science in Management from New Hampshire College. He has three sons and is an Associate Engineer for Bath Iron Works, working there for 34 years. He has co-managed Bath Community Television for six years. Tim spent 30 years coaching local youth sports and 8 years as a high school sports broadcaster. He is the former local president and state officer of the Maine Jaycees and a former two-term city councilor in Bath. Tim’s hobbies include producing local television programming and historical research.
Susan Wasserott
Susan has served on the Board of The Plant Home since 2007, where she chairs the Human Resources committee. She is the Human Resources Manager for CHANS Home Health Care and the Mid Coast Senior Health Center, having been employed by Mid Coast Health Services for over 15 years. Susan has over 25 years experience in the human resources field, plus holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Administration from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Susan is a graduate of the Midcoast Maine Leadership Institute. Susan and her husband, Paul, moved to Maine from northeast Pennsylvania in 1994. They now live in Woolwich, ME, with their cat and two dogs. She enjoys gardening, walking on Maine beaches, traveling, reading, music, and hosting her local television show “In My Backyard.”
Linda Wood
Linda has been a Plant Home Board member since 1993 and focused her efforts on development. She is an Elder Law attorney in Bath where she has practiced for twenty years. Linda graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and Georgetown Law Center. She is married to Daniel Wood a Bath physician. They have two adult daughters and two grandchildren. Linda enjoys reading, travel and family time.
Cliff Zimmerman
Cliff is the owner of Five Islands Capital Management a commercial, industrial and residential real estate development company with offices in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Georgetown, Maine. Cliff and his wife Sue have three children, ages 22-27. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and boating on the coast of Maine.
