Facility Expansion

In 2007, the Home’s board of directors began discussing expansion possibilities.  The Home’s wait list stood at over 50 persons and expansion would not only serve those in need, but assist in securing the endowment for the foreseeable future.

As of January 2010, The Home is working with Architect Steve Normand and designs have begun.  We have received unanimous approval from Bath’s Planning Board and a unanimous vote of support at the first reading of Bath’s City Council.  If approved again in February of 2010, the next step would be Department of Environmental Protection approval.  At that point, the new Plant Home Zone would be approved and the Home would begin capital raising and community outreach.
